Residential Heating Equipment & Furnace Repair

Trusted in more homes than any other brand, Carrier continues to be at the head of the line in leading-edge technology and unsurpassed standards of excellence with advanced features in their heating equipment. Features like Comfort Heat Technology®, Ideal Humidity System® technology and the Infinity® System. Carrier's scientists, engineers, and Gundlach Sheet Metal strive to provide you with the most advanced indoor comfort solutions available. Below are several things you should consider before you buy a heating system.

Efficiency Efficiency ratings are like gas mileage for your heating system -- the higher the rating, the more efficient the product. AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) is the measurement used to gauge furnace heating fuel usage. The Infinity® 96 gas furnace receives up to 96.6% AFUE. HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) is a measurement used to gauge the heating mode of heat pumps. Most new units have ratings from 7.0 to 9.4. The Infinity® 19 heat pump receives up to 9.5 HSFP. ENERGY STAR® is a set of guidelines created by the Federal government to for energy efficiency. Carrier Corporation has determined that certain products meed these guidelines and the ENERGY STAR® logo can be found on the Infinity® and Performance® Series products.

Comfort Carrier specializes in creating custom home comfort systems through a broad spectrum of heating products. These include IdealComfort TM Technology, Comfort Heat® Technology, Infinity® System and Ideal Humidity System®. Ordinary furnaces warm your home with full-speed blasts of hot air followed by periods of dropping temperatures when the fan shuts down. IdealComfort™ technology monitors indoor conditions and accurately predicts the need for heating to dramatically reduce temperature swings. Comfort Heat® Technology accurately predicts the need for heating while cutting temperature swings in half providing a nearly continuous flow of warmth in low-capacity operation for steadier, and more consistent temperatures. Combine a heat pump or air conditioner with a variable speed furnace or fan coil and you get the revolutionary Infinity® System. The is the only system in the industry that allows you to control temperature, fan speed, humidity, air quality and ventilation through an easy to read and easy to use control system. The controller even detects when your filters need replacing and it will automatically adjust to your system's needs for peak efficiency and performance. It is the ultimate when it comes to controlling all your home system components. IdealHumidity™ System technology automatically adjusts the right amount of moisture in your house to keep you comfortable. It can help you save on energy costs because when the humidity is balanced, you feel more comfortable at higher temperatures in the summer and lower temperatures in the winter.

Sound QuietTech™ is Carrier's noise reduction system that allows comfortable heat while generating very little noise in the process. Carrier manufactures gas furnaces that are among the most quiet in the industry. Tested in a laboratory specifically built to a resemble a typical residence, sound level recordings are produced at steady rate and at low-fire (the most common operating mode) and measured 3 feet from the furnace. The Infinity® ICS furnace operates at 40 decibels, the same sound level as a refrigerator. A whisper is measured at 30 decibels while normal conversation is measured at 60 decibels.

HYBRID HEAT® Dual Fuel Systems Carrier's HYBRID HEAT dual fuel system combines a heat pump and a furnace and will keep you comfortable throughout each season. The heat pump is designed to work like an air conditioner during warmer months, transferring heat from inside your home to the outside. As the seasons change, the heat pump reverses this process by extracting heat from outside and moving it into your home. By combining an electric heat pump and a gas furnace, the HYBRID HEAT dual fuel system could be just right for you.
